Re: Fringe Question on World Laws

I miss the ability of SK to burn possibilities to create reality bubbles :(

Re: Too Much Tactical Analysis

One simple solution is to limit the amount of time a player has to determine his actions for his turn. Ten seconds seems appropriate. This may need to be shorter or longer for some groups.

Re: Jack Burton from Big Trouble in Little China

One thing to consider is that Jack isn't the hero of the movie, he's the hero's sidekick.

(This is explicit in the commentary track)

Re: Broken Combo?

I'll point out that birds of prey fly and grapple on a daily basis, so a GM shouldn't be tempted to make this an incredibly difficult task to prevent PC use.

Re: Is it possible for a High Lord to disrupt another cosm's stela/bridge by dropping their own?

Basically, by that point, Circe wants Baruk Kaah stuffed and mounted in one of her trophy galleries as soon as anybody can make him permanently dead, and he in turn wants her skull on his belt. The thing is, only one High Lord can become Torg, so there is little incentive to work with each other an...

Re: What real world date should Orrorsh be set at?

The Lee-Metford is not a musket, although the early versions used black powder ammunition. The early Maxim machine guns were black powder (and had problems).

I think around 1890 would be good, but if you don't want smokeless powder, pick 1887 or earlier.

Re: Kaiju and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

An M1 Abrams tank is a far cry from Voltron. It's also a few steps below a BattleMech of similar tonnage. I'll also add that beyond technology to build large mecha, a crew of one is also an issue. Most mecha genre ignores the fact that your pilot is doing the job of 3-4 crew in other AFVs and shoul...

Re: Kaiju and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

In kindergarten and first grade I was watching a live action show from Japan on Hawaiian t.v. Many years later, an American producer picked it up and you will probably be more familiar with that show. The biggest problem I see is that I don't think their suits were Tech 24. I think transformable me...

Re: Kaiju and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

I'm going to second the "large battle suit" thing, as something cool that still says "mecha" without being an actual giant robot. Maybe it could be a vehicle option so that the whole team can use them if the plot (and my one player who is a huge fan of mecha anime) demands it? S...

Re: Kaiju and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

I know I'm a bit late to the party ... I'll agree that kaiju should be a one-shot thing. As a childhood fan of the genre, I recall how useless the humans tended to be and Storm Knights won't do much better. As for mecha, I agree with the "large battlesuit" (3m or so tall) camp. Smaller an...
