Re: Magic I - Kickstarter

Less specific but also a good sign - one of the last updates to the Aventuria Kickstarter (Inn of the Last Bear iirc) said that the update was delayed due to people working on the Magic Kickstarter for TDE.

Re: Living Aventuria (Dark Eye) @ GenCon 2019

I rarely do GenCon but almost always do Origins. Have you considered working with the guys running TDE events at Origins so that there starts being Living Aventuria at more major cons (next I'd suggest adding Gamehole Con then Gary Con). Obviously, it's too late for this year's Origins (being in 3-4...

Re: Magic I - Kickstarter

Or maybe less time ... I mean purely based on the fact that the Aventuria Kickstarter was in Euro and not US dollars one might assume Ulisses Germany have taken over control over the Dark Eye production and Kickstarter. As the people actually making Dark Eye maybe they will focus more on making thi...

Re: What should organized play look like in English?

Any chance of getting Living Aventuria at Origins? I rarely go to GenCon (too big, too expensive, and not as nice a con). I know it's too late for this year.

Dark Eye at Origins?

I was just working on my schedule for Origins and am highly disappointed (again). For 2019, there are (again) only 3 different Dark Eye events compared to 5 different Torg events (there's also someone running unofficial events). Can anyone comment on why we get so few Dark Eye offerings at Origins (...

Re: Magic I - Kickstarter

Very disappointing to hear Magic I is being pushed back months (behind Aventuria Card Game (which sort of interests me) and Torg (which doesn't)). If they do "throw in" Gods I at the same time, that would go a long way to making the wait feel worthwhile...

Re: Just received the Armoury cards

In the German edition, there is a card pack with the most commonly used (dis)advantages, special abilities, spells and liturgies. Does anyone know if there are plans to make this card pack available in English? I have all of the current card packs but, as with Guernsey, I would like smaller (and ch...

Re: Magic I - Kickstarter

It's not surprising that TDE is taking second place. Look at the Kickstarter history and it's quite clear that Torg Eternity is a more popular line. TDE - 4 Kickstarters $293,972 and 3,243 total backers Torg - 3 Kickstarters $774,279 and 4,826 total backers For fewer Kickstarters they've raised mor...

Re: Mistranslation in Core Rules (Disease "Swamp Fever" p. 344)

bluedragon, thanks for the translation. I can see why they avoided using "hit points" and "wound points" in English as those have distinct connotations to a lot of English gamers. For the English market, using one term (DP) and adding "(ignoring PRO)" works better.

Re: Mistranslation in Core Rules (Disease "Swamp Fever" p. 344)

Interesting discrepancy between German and English. The "(ignoring PRO)" would mean ignoring protection (which the German version probably assumed whereas the English makes it explicit). Logically, there's no way PRO should apply to diseases. [Disclaimer: I'm going from memory and play lot...
