Re: Beta Doesn't seam to be a big enough deal

So my group has been playing torg for awhile, and we are a very high power gaming/rules crunching group. One discussion that we have been having off and on in the last several sessions as we are now solidly in beta clearance is that the system seams very front loaded. By this we mean that for almos...

Re: Reuse or recycle Stelae?

Per the Core Rules once a stelae is placed and activated, you can't remove it without it getting destroyed in the axiom wash. Basically, if Mobius went to the 8th Empire and went through the steps for removing the stelae, even assuming the Darkness Device didn't oppose him, the previous axioms of th...

Re: Telekinesis errata

Don't overthink it. If you can do it (or if you could do it if you were stronger), that's what happens...at range. So it's like you project an invisible and intangible "not-you" out to range and this "not-you" moves things around with its not-hands so long as it is standing on i...

Re: Telekinesis errata

I think Telekinesis should be re-written to include Axiom level. At Social 23 the psionic can lift objects with the lower of her STR or MIN. At Social 24 she uses her MIN and gets fine manipulation. At Social 25 she uses the higher of her STR or MIN and can lift herself for flight. Or you simply add...

Re: Aysle Preview #6 - Threats

Is that a joke or an actual future product announcement? In Eternity’s version, the Carredon disappeared with Tolwyn at the battle where Uthorion possessed Ardinay, IIRC from the Aysle section of the core rules. Tolwyn is back, so perhaps the Carredon’s revenge is finishing her off for good? <whist...

Re: Aysle Preview #5 - Miracles

I am very excited. This looks great! Question, will characters from the Cyberpapacy be able to worship Aylish deities? Really any character from any cosm can worship any deity/philosophy from any other cosm. A person from Core Earth could follow the ways of Lanala (and probably some do). However, i...

Re: Transformation (what does it look like in your games?)

We handle with the idea that a person's former life feels dreamlike or "unreal." The Afro-British Core Earth Computer Student who transformed to an Aylish Wizard can still hack/program computers. And shoot modern guns. She still knows how to work them. Perks change from one reality to the ...

Re: Aysle Preview #4 - Uthorion

It's also interesting that Uthorian has two Perks normally only available to Core Earth Stormers: Negation and Storm Caller. Perhaps we'll eventually learn that Uthorian is from closer to home than we thought. Maybe the Gaunt Man once visited our Earth and took a "friend" away with him. D...
