Re: Drama Deck...

I can say for sure that it won't be identical to the original deck. As for what form it will be in, we'll be previewing that in the future for sure. I hope you keep the Subplot cards, those were cool game enhancers. I'd like some "Cosm specific" cards as well, ones you could only play as ...

Re: Changes You've Made -- a.k.a. Wrinkles in the Infiniverse

+1 on all of this. Good to know. Other stuff. The Gaunt Man is effectively the ruler of Gaea. He doesn't give a shit about the darkness of your skin, just the darkness in your heart. That said, Class is very much a thing. So is racism and sexism (to an extent. Class trumps everything. A Black upper...

Re: Preview #1 - Updating a Classic

For my part I almost never use an official character sheet for anything. There's usually not enough room for the stuff I want or too much space given over to something I don't use. One old TORG sheet had a big space for a character portrait (and I can't draw squat) and not nearly enough room for ski...

Re: Changes You've Made -- a.k.a. Wrinkles in the Infiniverse

The Gaunt Man isn't like that. He'll take a fly and slowly pull its wings and legs off so that it dies in fear and pain and provides a lesson in terror to all the other flies watching. That's a pretty good definition ! For me the thing to really get across in Orrorsh is the personal scale. 3327 tak...

Re: Reality Extras

Does that transformation effect work in reverse? Say you have less than heroic Storm Knights that rip up a stelae without refilling the possibilities will that result in near-immediate transformation and a whole bunch of Ord fireballs and/or Core Earth Edeinos?

Re: Orrorsh Pop Culture Influence

For Orrorsh pop culture (albeit silghtly older pop) I think almost anything Lovecraft. it does the whole knowledge is more useful than brute force, corruption is nigh inevitable and that the general situation is almost totally fruitless :) While there are some similarities, Orrorsh is not Lovecraft...

I'm really looking forward to this. I think I have everything ever published for TORG up to and including the 4 issue Tharkold Invasion of Los Angeles.

Re: Changes You've Made -- a.k.a. Wrinkles in the Infiniverse

Oh, I like those changes, johntfs. I tried to run it like Cthulhu and it never really worked that way for me. Looking back now, I would probably have been better going for a Hammer movie vibe? Lovecraftian horror works on the idea of an indifferently hostile universe. Cthulhu would swat player char...

Re: Changes You've Made -- a.k.a. Wrinkles in the Infiniverse

My players initially hated Orrorsh. As written it was an unrelenting death-slog for minimal effect. Even the "treasures" mentioned in supplements were mostly traps designed to corrupt and destroy anyone stupid enough to grab one. I had one player with a weird science guy who wanted to fly ...

Re: Aysle Reboot

I admit I loved the torus world, which was pretty much the only original concept in a bucket of warmed-over Tolkienesque D&D crap. I want to see the Houses further developed. The original TORG ended in 1995, so it missed the 1996 debut of Game of Thrones. Put some GRRM into Alyse with conflicts ...
