Re: Things you'd like to know about Pan-Pacifica

(Remember! One of the keys in every realm is the search for allies against the High Lords. That means that winning people over is an achievable goal. Be the Flash Gordon you need to be.) :D "Be the Flssh Gordon you need to be", Is going to win Quote of the Day for me! FLash remains the ic...

Re: Things you'd like to know about Tharkold

Assuming we're not using the "Clive Barker meets the Terminator" 90's aesthetic any more, I'd like to know what we're replacing it with. What is the tone and feel of Tharkold and how does it mingle with the local reality? Is this a bleak, empty sort of post-apocalypse rendered like Tarkov...

Re: Playing Torg online

I am thinking about doing some online RPGing and have a few questions for those of you who have used Roll20 and similar systems to play Torg. (1) I see I can purchase the Torg Eternity Drama Deck on Roll20. Does each player need to buy a deck or just the GM? (2) Are there any other tools (digital o...

Re: Cyberdeck - why not cyberware?

In Old Torg, Nippon Tech dated itself with using real world computer terms (as with the Neuromancer example). They actually did a good job in CP using a generic 'Block'. I think TE will do fine not making us facepalm in 5-10 years when reading our books

Re: Kaiju and Mecha in Pan-Pacifica

Honestly don't want it to become the Anime Cosm just because it's set in Asia. Okay with kaiju and can accept zombies (even though our culture hit Peak Zombie a decade ago) but really don't want to see anime tropes. So much you could do with Asia beyond amine. This is my opinion as well. Just becau...

Re: Nile Empire Invisibility

Got it - and the penalty for reconnecting in a Dominant/pure zone doesn't apply if if the Dominant/Pure cosm is the Storm Knight's home cosm (so effectively +/- zero), is that right? Thanks! Graethynne No, it still applies. Otherwise there would be a greater incentive to use foreign contradictory i...

Re: Nile Empire Invisibility

Really Quick question - Invisibility has an axiom requirement higher than NE's magic axiom, but it is on the list. As noted by TPTB it will therefore always cause a contradiction when cast by a NE character. Does this also mean that it would be a 4-case contradiction when cast by a NE character wit...

Re: Nile Empire Invisibility

Reconnection is solely dependent on type of zone, mixed/dominant/pure.

Re: Aysle Backer Archetypes

Has anyone else read any of the Mithgar Novels by Dennis Mckiernan? I loved his take on Halflings. He called them Warrows. The ones that became adventurers tended to be the ones that trained their when lives to guard the borders of their lands from Wolves. So they were trained as expert Archers. Al...

Re: Perks, Powers, and Savage Worlds

Actually, if anything, Old Torg influenced Savage Worlds. Shane Hensley wrote Temple of Rec Stalek for OT back in the Early 90s.. so it's more like a circle. Although I haven't used it, i did think of doing Spell/Miracle/Psionics differently. I would have skills spells, miracles, psionics that are b...
