Re: Degrees of Failiure?
You could define the degree of a failure as the number of attribute checks that failed. You could even distinguish different types of failures depending on the attribute(s) that failed. edit: Keep in mind that success rates on attribute checks are in most cases not much higher than 50%. IMHO when us...

Re: Mistranslation in Core Rules (Binding of the Staff)
Only a directed anti-magic spell, or elemental fire burning hotter than a dragon’s breath or burning hotter than an Ignifaxius spell, can destroy it. That doesn't sound like "proper" English to me. The sentence (even in German) is prone to misinterpretation. That's why I used em dashes in...

Mistranslation in Core Rules (Binding of the Staff)
Found a mistranslation in the “Binding of the Staff” enchantment (Core Rules page 276): Einzig elementares Feuer, das heißer brennt als ein Drachenodem oder ein IGNIFAXIUS, oder aber gezielte Antimagie können ihn zerstören. Only a directed anti-magic spell, an Ignifaxius spell, or an elemental fire ...

Re: Are all priests Blessed Ones and vice versa?
Hi there! Though I don't consider myself an expert on the matter, there are some things I want to add: Some players may choose to play a Blessed One of Rondra because they want to play a Paladin archetype character. The idea of playing a priest, a preacher and a man-of-faith may not even have occurr...

Re: Druid stats
It's in the warring kingdoms book. I'm sorry to be blunt, but as you can read German, you should probably get the German source material yourself. You could: ⋅ Buy the book, ⋅ wait for the rules wiki, ⋅ wait for the english release, ⋅ or get an unlicensed ...

Re: Deep Rules PDF
- Culture and Science and the bestiary are from the Aventuria Almanach.
- The new combat abilities are from the compendium.
- The spells seem to be from the first regional expansion, the warring kingdoms.

Re: Short Questions, Quick Answers
Yes, the effect (when caused by spider bites) explicitly stacks. I've not yet found a rule stating whether poisons in general stack. Alchemical elixirs (and other "supernatural effects") don't stack(CR 272). It's possible that natural poisons stack, but I guess this has to be handled on a ...

Re: Short Questions, Quick Answers
2.2) Arax is made from Arachnae, which is made from spider venom. Not the other way. And Arachnae is not the original spider venom . Arachnae works instant, but it has a much lower duration (1 hour) and is not as strong as Arax. There are no rules for Arachnae in the 5th edition (now). Whoops, it s...

Re: Short Questions, Quick Answers
i think arax is the weaker non-refined version of arachnae isnt it ? edit: See Empiariss's response It's the other way around: Arachnae is poison from the poison glands of the aventurian cave spider, which is described in the aventuria almanach. In the almanach the poison is simply called "...

Re: Dark Eye solo modules?
there's also http://www.dsa-games.de with German (duh) digital ~DSA4 solo adventures They seem to have an English version at http://www.tde-games.com/ . (I can't really think of any other way they could work non-digitally TBH.) I could think of more complex ways. ;) But the adventures already do mo...
