Re: Living Land Axiom Stretch Goal Discussion

@Rocketeer, Fair point, but I think raising the Social Axiom by 1 point is going to most affect NPC behavior patterns more than it's going to actually change any game mechanics the PCs have to deal with. I'm not sure any strictly edeinos game mechanics would be altered significantly. Again, mostly j...

Re: Living Land Axiom Stretch Goal Discussion

I don't really see what opportunity there is for the players to get involved with this change, within the game. Changing axioms is something the HL and DD just do , right? Spend a ton of energy, axiom changes. Even if there was a ritual or something and the SK stop it... how would they stop the bad...

Re: Infiniverse Stopping?

So the Infiniverse is coming to an end because there's one form for all of the Delphi missions from the cargo box book? I still don't get it. You can submit as many forms as you want, sure it's a slight hassle to skip past the ones you're not submitting for but it doesn't strike me as a big deal. I...

Living Land Axiom Stretch Goal Discussion

Hey all, I was a little behind following the campaign and the boards. I just rewatched the second-to-the-last-chat and the most recent one to date. I wanted to talk about the Axiom stretch goal and I thought it really merited it's own thread. The topic sort of gets lost amid general discussion of th...

Re: Here comes the Living Land Kickstarter...

Why is Baruk Kaah changing the axioms?!? I don't know, but I'm leaning toward voting either Tech or nothing, rather than Social. Bumping up Tech by 1 just adds shortbows and slings, no big deal. Bumping up Social would allow for city-states and would make taxation commonplace, which seems really we...

Re: Author of the Nile Empire Super Adventure?

Back when I used to write adventures for 3.5e and similar, I had a sad day when I realized that I spent more time writing out the math justifying my stat-blocks (unpaid word count which nobody but the editor would see) than actually writing exciting stories for people to engage with. I like writing...

Re: Nile Empire - "No capes!"

That’s a great reply. That’s also a more positive approach. I’ll try it out: I REALLY LIKE weird science. I like pulp heroes I kinda like superheroes (in this setting, I “really like” them in their native settings, like M&M). I’d miss them if there was none. I LOVE the GodNet as it’s own realm o...

Author of the Nile Empire Super Adventure?

Maybe this is a premature spoiler, but can we ask who wrote the NE super adventure? Deanna or Shane or someone else? Question asked in the spirit of fun. Shane’s good, but I’d kinda like to see what Deanna did with her preferred specialty cosm. Yeah, I know it’s already a done deal either way, but I...

Re: Nile Empire - "No capes!"

Still, somewhere between "Everyone wants to be" and "I never wanted to be" a super hero lies a part of the Nile Empire I don't want to give up. If one night club in Cairo and another in Thebes host meetings where 20 to 30 masked heroes/villians with various degrees of "powe...

Re: Full Living Land Kickstarter Preview

Just a heads up that we'll be doing our next Live Chat on Saturday at 11am Eastern. Details tomorrow but...it's gonna have some juicy tidbits. Just sayin'. The last one was a good time. Darrell can’t help dishing a little more than Eric expects. Is there a theme for the chat? Open q...
