Re: Character Generator for Windows

I just wanted to announce that my TOCG character generator is pretty much done, at least as far as character generation goes. XP advancement is a whole 'nother kettle of fish! As far as I'm aware, it handles everything except for the Followers perk (which I suppose isn't available at chargen anyway)...

Re: Rocket Ranger Battlesuits

When I picture a "Rocket Ranger", I see something like the images linked above; i.e. like the Rocketeer. The actual Rangers from the old Nile book struck me as being very modern-ish supers, not at all pulp. Though, there was an awful lot of that in the original Nile, to be sure.

Character Generator for Windows

For those using Windows machines, I've put together a TE Character Generator! It can output character stats in text form - either in the format from the TE rule book or something approximating how it was in oTorg, and can also add the stats to a character sheet for printing (in color or grayscale).

Re: What is the core concept of Torg?

The core concept is to have adventures with and in a mix of different genres. Everything else grows out of trying to justify that concept within the game fiction.

Re: Deck Preview Update

I was looking at the UNA10003_TORG_Eternity_Dramadeck_Shop-PDF.pdf. Now that I see that v7 is different, I'm guessing that wasn't updated.

Re: Deck Preview Update

Just a note - dunno if this was in the pre-update cards, but Asyle card #2 "Face Me!" has an extra "attacks" in it:

His attacks
attacks
against your character are
Favored for the rest of the scene.

Re: Perk - Double Tap

Another factor to consider is that for a starting character, you're capped at 3 Adds (Nile super-skill aside), so Double Tap allows you to start with a +4 to hit without needing to be from Nile. That's not a huge deal since you'll probably have XP to get to 4 Adds after the 1st session, but it's som...

Re: Mastery Perk

Okay this literally makes me and anyone I talk to not want to play. This has the BACKDROP of a war...it is NOT a big deathmatch... If that is what you see in your games I'm very concerned. The whole point is NOT to die or lose in TORG. Someone else's personal take on the game makes you & your f...

Re: Favorite Cosm (Original and Eternity)

Back in the day, Nile was a favorite of my group, of course. I'm trying to think back to the characters I had, and I remember a Core Earth hunter guy with a compound bow (and ranks in Faith [atheism], which some did not appreciate but I thought it was a cool mechanic), and a paladin from Asyle. I fe...
