Re: Character Generator for Windows

I put up a slight update, v2.0.0.3, which fixes a few small bugs I had discovered since the previous release, and adds in support for abilities that trigger off of approved actions, as well as mythic actions (as seen on the Great Dragon in Aysle). Also, if you buy an animal mount and stats exist for...

Re: Aysle Sourcebook Q&A Thread

Yeah if it was just “knowledge of the healing miracle” that’s what it would have said. There is no “have some unspecified number of miracles” requirement, that type of requirement has been phrased as needing to know X spells or what have you.

Mounts and Speed

I'm trying to come up with some stats for a typical horse based off its vehicle stats in the Living Land book. A horse's vehicle speed is listed there as 65/40 (I think that's kph/mph) with a value of 11. That all checks out - the conversion chart says converting to mph is -2 and kph is -3, and 65 i...

Re: Things you'd like to know about the Living Land.

LTTP... IMHO one of the big things the LL book was missing was Holy items. Thematically speaking, the place should be dripping in them! It's easy enough to home brew some appropriate stuff, but official material is always a nice starting point, to riff ideas off of. *shrug* Agreed, I feel like this ...

Sword of Spirit wrote:Quick question: Did I miss the final release of the Aysle sourcebooks, or are you going with the preview material for now?

Preview. I don't expect there to be any major deviations with the final version.

Re: Character Generator for Windows

The character generator has been updated with the Aysle sourcebook material! The application version is now 2.0. There are a lot of changes behind the scenes with this update, and some visible ones as well. Visible I realized I never got around to implementing a few things from the Nile backer arche...

Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

That's what I keep running into. I wouldn't argue that Strength isn't a pretty big deal, especially increasing your base Strength and getting the Toughness with it -- but functionally, this is spending a Perk and giving up Darksight to be a tall Dwarf. Well, a tall, night-blind dwarf with +1 attrib...

Re: Thoughts on a homebrew perk?

Getting hit more doesn’t mean so much when you have a high Toughness. Except for the occasional exploding roll. It's different for PCs than NPCs, as the NPCs hitting the PCs generally won't have the PCs' firepower. My thought is that if you want to start at peak strength, then just do that (i.e. sta...

Tharkold cybernetics are explicitly ugly and bulky. I would expect a Race decker or rigger or whatever she is to look substantially different. Not to mention dirtier!

Re: Back archetypes racial limits

The sloth (and stalenger) have full write ups in Ruins of the Living Land. I think the sloth’s Strength tops out at 18.

I don’t suppose we’re getting a similar booklet for the Nile. I would probably let the Robot Man be a little stronger and smarter and less charismatic and spirited.
