Request: Secrets and metaplot

I'm generally not a big fan of metaplot, but TORG is one of the few places where I'm OK with it given that it's a setting based around a war (albeit an odd one). And I get that the designers can't tell us where the metaplot is going. But I hope that they can at least tell us which of the setting ele...

A request to the developers for adventure maps

Reading some of the old adventures reminded me of something that always bugged me with the adventures for oTORG: the maps almost never had a scale on them. While TORG never cared as much as D&D did about distances and such, I always found that annoying. So, kind designers: please include scales ...

Re: Using Torg Eternity to improve original Torg

I used Torg Eternity's damage chart (1 Wound and 2 Shock per 5 result points) this evening, along with Ords with varying Wound levels. It worked wonderfully. Nobody even noticed the complete absence of KOs :D. Why was the original Torg damage chart so weird? Anyone know? They explained it in the In...

Elvis the Edeinos? That's just silly.

Everyone knows Elvis belongs with the Space Gods. I mean, he's even on the cover!

Re: Archetypes MIA

Keep in mind that there are from-scratch character creation rules prominently in the new book. That's a good point. In oTORG, the core character creation rule was "choose a template, distribute 13 skill adds in addition to the 3 you already have in your tag skill, and give it a name. Go!"...

Re: Favorite Old Torg Adventure (for conversion experiment)

Hullo, TorgHacker, One of my influences is Babylon 5, so take that as you will. Oooh, oooh! I *knew* it! :) Colour me curious, and colour me intrigued. (So what colours are those?) :) The TORG answer is, of course, blue and red. But perhaps we should go with the Drazi answer instead: green and purp...

Well, you can't kill the Living Land. That would make it the Dead Land, and even though Shane is on board with TORG: Eternity I think he'd take issue with that.

Re: Blast Areas

You can figure it out from the equipment chapter, probably due to some revision that missed updating things in one place and not the other. In the Missile Weapon table, an offensive grenade is described as having a Small blast, and a frag grenade as having a Medium blast. The text description gives ...

Re: Favorite Old Torg Adventure (for conversion experiment)

Depends whether you include Season 5 or not :) I'd hate for TORG to have a plan but then find out that they're getting an extra year and try to slap together some stuff that while passable does not hold up to the exemplary stuff of seasons 2-4... The original plan was, according to JMS, that season...

That's certainly a sign of good taste.
