Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook Preview Discussion

Yes, so ... much ... stuff <happy dance>. I can see why space was so tight. Well done to Deanna and Thomas. It was worth the wait :D There's so much to discuss. To start things off, in the TE corebook it says that computer tests with cyberdecks are favoured. I assume this is only for computers in Co...

Re: The Reality Choir: A sourcebook for the Covert Reality War

I just came across this and am very impressed. This is incredibly useful and helps make Core Earth a lot more flavorful than it is in canon! I absorbed the preview, loved it, and am going to grab this on payday. I bought this and am almost very impressed. I have only flicked through it so far, and ...

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook!!

Thanks :-) The bit of Brittany just beyond the Cyberpapacy boundary is the traditional location of the legendary lost city of Ys: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ys. Poul Anderson wrote a four book series set in and around the city years ago which was pretty good. I think the nature of the legend almo...

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook!!

One thing about that location is this little piece of coastline that is outside the range of the Cyberpapacy stelae boundaries. It sparked a short discussion here about it being a possible foothold for Core Earth or a safe haven for the Resistance. https://i.imgur.com/6Y82sCI.png Huh. Interesting! ...

Re: Cyberpapacy Sourcebook!!

I'm most interested in the locations and characters in the occupied territories. The axiom change in the LL basically chased most people out, the one in the NE actively changed peoples beliefs. The CP prepared people for the second coming more than the others it seems but without the NE mind altera...

Re: Transgender characters in Torg Eternity

I'm a cishet male and I too think inclusiveness is very important and that representation matters. There'll always be a proportion of complainers, but I'd like to think they are a minority in the Torg fandom. Anyway, there is an established connection between the cyberpunk genre and transgender issu...

Re: Cyberpapacy Crowdfunding Launches on November 11

I also received the feedback email signed by Greg. I also received the unsigned email last night (13 hours ago) announcing the successful funding of the Cyberpapacy and the late pledge to come. Of the CP sourcebook that email said that it was in "layout works" and would be released when th...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #9 - The GodNet (Part 2)

The part I'm actually not sure about is the second bit. Am I following it right that the intent is that all Storm Knights automatically Transform to their true gender when they first Transform? Or actually, when they become Reality rated, whether they Transform or not? On the one hand, I can easily...

Re: Cyberpapacy Crowdfunding Launches on November 11

A bit shy under $160K. That isn't too shabby. Seen from the outside, it looks pretty decent :) How were the previous crowdfundings at this stage? I seem to remember that Aysle got ~50% larger, but I have no idea how much of it arrived as late pledges. I think at this stage Aysle was only a little a...

Re: Cyberpapacy Crowdfunding Launches on November 11

As Wakshani said, there may have been some editorial changes and the Numberless is one of the things that were eliminated. Partly for setting reasons, but also for space reasons. Even though the Number is now detailed in the Secrets of the Cyberchurch PDF, the Numberless would need to be mentioned ...
