I agree. The OTorg rules were better on this issue, and it was a bit jarring to see the reversion to the mean.

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #9 - The GodNet (Part 2)

Well, this thread has been quiet, so I just wanted to say that it's probably because what you put together here makes a lot of sense and we're all just kind of nodding our heads. As in, "yep, they get it... that's a relief". So, since it's probably disconcerting to post something and NOT ...

Re: Cyberpapacy Crowdfunding Launches on November 11

Okay, with regards to the GM Screen and Archetypes...it IS in the Cyberreliquary. As for Relics...more info on that...soon. (Checks the funding level). Really soon now. Any time. <taps fingers> There's a tantalisingly Delphic reference to the "Heroes of the Possibility Wars - Volume One" ...

Re: Maelstrom

FWIW, I 100% agree with Torghacker here. RAW can justify either ruling, but the plain truth of it is that Maelstrom is incredibly powerful, and should be equally dangerous. We've only seen it used twice, in probably 30-40 gaming sessions, because it's so damn scary. And it should be. When it is pla...

Re: Disconnecting while rolling for defeat

Yes, I see it now. Core Rules 109 "A roll of 1 always fails, and no Possibilities may be spent to change it". I had thought that the "no possibilities" rule only applied to actual "Mishaps" and I couldn't see a Mishap as an event when rolling for defeat unless you could...

Re: Maelstrom

Well, it's the reason Deanna stated -- because if you can play it after you know you've hit them for enough Wounds, it takes away the thing that makes Possibility-rated enemies scary. And I haven't seen it come up in play yet, which does leave me wondering, like Gargoyle, if it's really a big probl...
