Re: The Armory Book

The Compendium is the first book of the red series dealing with profane elements. It contains expanded explanations of the skills and their applications, new focus rules, including the introduction of combat styles, and a handful of professions. It has 240 pages. The Aventurian Armoury is your typic...

Re: So, the Shadowlands

Ok can anyone give me a primer on the Shadowlands, circa where they stand in 5e? Because from what I gather (and I could be wrong or confused) this is an area that contains demons, dark mages, necromancers, etc and it is smack in a substantial corner in Aventuria. Why is it there, what caused it an...

Re: Can a PC Mage use Salander to shapeshift?

As was said, toughness and the natural resistance to magic are just physical abilities of the body, like muscle strength. You must think of casting magic as trying to conduct electricity through a material: You have the electronic current (the flowing astral energy), the body through which it's supp...

Re: Can a PC Mage use Salander to shapeshift?

Question: Could a guild mage PC use the Salander spell to transform into, say, a bird to use the power of flight? If so does he retain full memories of his time spent as a bird or still retains dim memories only? Yes, he could do that, though he would still only retain a fracture of his mental abil...

Re: Sacred Weapon for Phex

Well you're basically right. First off, blessed ones of Phex don't have an associated weapon - which makes sense considering that none of his aspects deals with combat (tough the Tulamides may have a somewhat more martial view of him as Feqz). In the last edition there was a sacred throwing star tha...

Re: Guild Mage Seal

Also remember that a guild mage created at experienced level is really just an apprentice about 2-3 years from completing his studies. Add 2-300 AP and have at least 20 spells, that would give you the look and feel of a 4th edition mage. Yes, they were that much better due to their academic educati...

Re: Guild Mage Seal

I think that is looking at it from a D&D like point of view. A Guild magician gets a ton of status. They are often the only ones allowed to earn money from casting magics and certain places the only ones allowed to cast it. They are respected by the populus. They would command a much higher fee...

Re: Festum map

Your original assumption regarding the Born is correct. The Lion Castle lies a few miles to thenorth of Festum.

Re: Guild Mage Seal

There will be information about the seals in Aventurian Magic I. The seal is always visible on the skin, and usually cannot be modified except at the academy that originally granted it. In regions where the guild magic tradition is common, most people will know that such a seal marks a guild mage, t...

Re: Some help with names and dates

Hmm... In german there actually was a small pdf supplement released together with TWL... not sure why they didn't release it in english. The current Noble Marshal is Nadjesha of Lionsford, as it says on page 5. You can find the same info in the Almanac as well. She will be detailed in "The Gree...
