Re: Boss Monster DSR

I'd originally envisioned something more additive than just picking the monsters actions, but I do like that for non-high-tech automata. It's like a very crude random ai subroutine. Also a lot closer to how many simpler video game bosses work.

Suppressive Firing Into Melee

Is suppressive fire subject to the firing into melee rules? It'd probably make sense if it is, but it is a less directly offensive attack and if it isn't that could be a way for dedicated ranged weapon characters to still do a thing once melee happens.

Re: Boss Monster DSR

Absolutely. Always cool when the designer agrees with your crazy ideas. :D I don't have much interest in using DSR for an ordinary boss, but I would be inclined to use it for a villain that's far bigger than the Storm Knights (not necessarily physically). [examples] I have no problem with introduci...

Boss Monster DSR

There's a common video game trope of monsters, especially bosses, who you have to wait until they do some special attack to hurt them. Either because it exposes their weak point, exhausts them, or provides you with ammunition or something. So I've got to thinking, could we use DSRs to do something s...

Re: Advice on a Plothook

Lots of great ideas here. If you wanted to keep the original hostage for food idea, even in the LL, you could have the prison be a hardpoint, or inside the dominant portion of one at least. Maybe after their original prison broke down they were running from dinos and ended up in Alcatraz? The prison...

Re: Roll20 2.0 Sheet Update

I think I'd suggest changing the damage rolls to ask for # of bonus dice, rather than success level, just to make it easier to work with perks/world laws that add BD. As is you'd have to pick higher levels than rolled and/or use the coup de grace button which could be tedious. Do you have built in s...

Re: Various attacks with a multi-action

There is still some case for multi action different interactions, just not at the same target. Against a group of opponents with different defenses you might want to trick one and taunt another, for example.

Re: Can you combine combat options?

Ah the famous "All Out 360 noscope vital blow blindside ambush full frontal attack roll." love it. Clearly we need an "MLG Pro" combat option. You tell me, "I am use an all out attack with a called shot to the head," and I will reply, "No." Tell me, "I r...

Re: Living Land Day 2 Playtesters Wanted

Roll20 has a card decks feature. It's tedious to get setup because you have to upload each card as an individual image but it's easy enough to use after you set it up. I don't have links handy but I know there's a couple threads on here about running online and gm Matt has a YouTube tutorial about s...

Re: Living Land Day 2 Playtesters Wanted

I'm guessing your looking at an online playtest? I'm certainly interested, availability depending. Which is a bit tricky right now due to real life bs but I can usually figure something out in the general afternoon-evening American Eastern Time range.
