Re: Day One Transformation

Then, for the purposes of transformations, what is considered “living”. In other words, what is fair game to throw at players. By definition, undead creatures are not among the living. So, could a wax figure of Bela Lugosi in Madame Tussauds transform into a vampire? Could a plastic skeleton in a m...

Re: Mixed Zones and Cosm Cards

I've thought about that, too. If I'm not very mistaken (reading that passage in the CRB right now... wait for loading... done) the Core rules state that "both sets of World Laws are in effect [in a mixed zone]" so I am going to actually shuffle both cosm "decks" and let the playe...

Re: Day One Transformation

It looks fine to me, a magically animated construct (or a robot) isn't a living thing. My reading of the rules intent, is that it's saying that, for example, a shop mannequin won't be transformed into a living (flesh & blood) organism, or vice versa. Magically created constructs fit well within...

Re: Combined Actions and Rapid Fire

I'd say they stack unless you don't want them to. :)
I've just reread the rules and I also cannot find anything on it saying they don't.

Re: Strangers in a strange land

@all: Thanks a lot. This gives me some insight and food for thinking.

I agree that being hounded wouldn't result in much fun - if your party isn't overly masochistic.
Hence the question/topic.

Re: Strangers in a strange land

I'm not necessarily referring to people - what about Kanawa security or the Church Police? I mean - there isn't a big chance that an Edeinos goes sight-seeing or shopping in, say, Tokyo, is it? Just by registering one on their security cams - and I imagine Kanawa has set up or hacked into a thousand...

Strangers in a strange land

Sorry to ask this, but how do you handle really attention arousing characters in other realms. I'm talking dwarf, elf and most of all edeinos characters in, say, the Cyberpapacy, Nile Empire, Orrorsh, Tharkhold and (again) most of all Pan-Pacifica. It's stressing denial of plausability a little too ...

Re: Wish and Bane Lists

What I want: A living, breathing world were I can stage adventures / sessions / whatever you like to call it. I concur to that we need guidelines to keep the war running, as this is directly correlating to my "living, breathing world" idea. As unrealistic as this game might be - I won't d...

Re: Active Defense when you've already had your turn

The Rules As Written are pretty clear (emphasis mine): A character may declare an active defense at any time as long as she has not used her action that round . I think allowing someone to act and take an active defense is a little too powerful. It's basically giving them a flurry. They chose to ac...

Re: The Law of Enchantment and non-Aysle Storm Knights

And what about the belt buckle which has been machine wrought and laser engraved? Does this cause a contradiction as well? Sorry, but if you start worrying about such stuff you degrade any adventure into... Role Master. Personally, I think such stuff hampers the flow of the game. In my stori...
