What are C-6 and C-9?

Explosives similar to C-4, obviously. Their only difference is price and damage, along with C-4, in a logical variety. But are they real? C-4 looks like the most recent (in reality) C-type explosive (without improvements for half a century) based on a Google search. Because of that I would have thou...

Re: Nile Empire Preview #10 - Adventuring in the Nile Empire

Giant Bounder - disable, No... So, if a storm knight sees the tunnel is shaped in a particular way and constructs a giant metal wedge to block the boulder, then nothing? What if the storm knight sets several blocks of C-9 charges, then trigger the boulder and detonates the C-9 on the boulder? I'd s...

Re: Nile Empire Preview #12 - Pulp Villains.

Something I hadn't really thought of before: how might players in Torg:E discover something like Baron Insidia's garlic weakness? I am assuming it's not part of the details players are expected to know. In a game like Fate, you can take an action to reveal an aspect of someone. In a game like Blades...

Re: Nile Empire Preview #12 - Pulp Villains.

Soon we'll be seeing villains like Firestrike, with his Ice Shield and Hydrobeam, eventually followed by Hero McGoodguy, the Butcher of Alexandria, ultimately culminating in the dastardly Bringer of Cupcakes**. I'm pretty sure this will turn out to be a violation of a minor law. It gets instated af...

Re: Invisibility question

At the base, I'd model it after The Invisible Man . In HG Wells' story, the man's skin refraction was made equal to air. If coming from a gadget, this is the default effect, although it could be an overcoat or other outerwear, avoiding the need to get naked for full effect (but bringing in other iss...

Re: Has eterntiy solved the armor disconnect problem?

It was entirely normal to see Core Earthers wearing Irimesh or Plexiflex armor enchanted to +10 or higher by the party wizard. I'd be really surprised if PCs would be capable of enchanting any item as high as +10 in Torg:E, especially when limited by Cyberpapacy's axiom. That is to say, Aylsish wiz...

Re: Psi and the Social Axiom

Nope. Tools became better on higher tech. Difficulty for shooting Mauser C96 is the same today as it was in 1900. Tools are what the Tech axiom describes. Shooting becomes easier because the tech is better. Casting become easier because the magic is better. Telepathy becomes easier because the soci...

Re: Translation and you

Is that written down somewhere? I mean, is it some kind of printed guideline, rather than something that's just being inferred? It's all inferred, a lot of it developed from previous discussions on these forums. It's inferred mostly from the fact that players can auto fail at actions (if by no othe...

Re: Translation and you

Is that something that the system easily supports? It's not only supported but made into a product! https://www.ulisses-us.com/product/torg-eternity-day-one-adventures/ I highly recommend checking out if you want to start as Ords (normal people). There's good guidance on how to do this, not to ment...

Re: Psi and the Social Axiom

My only continuing concern is with the general expectation that in order to get the more powerful effect you'll need to buy the power again. This applies equally to spells and miracles. I'm not sure how this plays to the rules. Although, I'll admit, it is confusing since out of all the supernatural...
