Re: MAGIC: 8; TECH: 25; SPIRIT: 24; SOCIAL: 25 ends: 15th August

Azmovilla History Every cosm with a high enough technology to imagine robotics has stories of mechanical men. Many of these stories involve ways that Humans build safeguards to prevent the machines from taking over. Azmovilla used these safeguards and learned something that other cosms theorized......

Fringe Question on World Laws

We've gone over this enough to be fairly clear: The only World Laws in effect are those of the realm you are in. So no invoking The Law of Life in the Nile. My problem is in the interpretation that allows Nile Powers to work in Moscow, Cybernetics in New York, or the like. If a character's very exis...

Re: magic: 15, tech: 24, spirit: 0, social: 21

Have to admit I struggled with being able to generate 10 separate cosm cards (Probably why I lost out in that category). The World laws are good though as they give a stronger feeling for the cosm and how it is intended to be played. Unique cards are a huge trouble. 1 or a few cards to highlight Wo...

Re: Extra effort in combined actions

If the default is Add 1 and Failure is Add 0, then that basically is Subtract 1 compared to not rolling at all. Making a Mishap another -1 seems totally reasonable, though. I don't really know if this is a house rule or not, but along with assuming a DN of 10, most of the games I'm in allow a suppo...

Re: Extra effort in combined actions

Honestly, the only house-rule I would suggest is adding a Mishap level. If you Mishap when going for Extra Effort, you subtract 1 from the number of successful helpers, imposing a -1 penalty if no one else helped. I look at it as...as long as you follow the leader, you'll help out. But when you try ...

Re: Extra effort in combined actions

Combined Actions If multiple characters attempt an action, you can use this shortcut. This is particularly useful when rolling a large number of foes’ attacks versus the heroes. Pick one character to be the “primary,“ then add a bonus based on the number of participants using the Combined Actions C...

Re: Does this make sense as a use of the Dramatic Skill Resolution

Final question: How would 1 person "Last Dich Effort" save the day in this scenario? As I read it, there is no conceivable way for any single driver to make all of the trucks pass all of the remaining tests and defeat this as a DSR. I don't even see how a Martyr could solve this as propose...

Re: Extra effort in combined actions

Quick clarification.... There is no difficulty for simply helping. If Bob (STR 10) is trying to push a boulder out of the way (Diff 16) and Trish (STR 6) helps, Bob gets a +1 to his Total. If Trish and Jane help, he gets +2; but if Josie also helps it's still just +2. What you are talking about abov...

Re: Realm Runner Perks

I like Linguist, though many feel it is a useless Perk as the GM has to provide a way for the party to communicate if the story is to continue. Wealthy is another overlooked Perk for a Runner. Getting all the lower Axiom tools at character creation, plus a justifiable transportation method, is not c...

Re: Aysle Kickstarter Launches July 2!

I do sort of understand a bit of the basis of the complaint; I think.... Deanna is always such an excellent source of information. I can see how someone finding out that something she told us wasn't 100% accurate (through no fault of her own) *might be* reminiscent of when one was 6 or 7 years old a...
