Re: Vehicle shock

Shock represents mental/emotional damage as well as physical. Big tough guy in cardboard car may very well start freaking out over the "impending destruction" of his vehicle. If his Spirit is low enough, he could even pass out from the anxiety (Acheive KO from accumulated Shock). Could thi...

Re: On Read Minds

This shouldn't be able to ruin a first act. Unless the end boss somehow meets the Knights and lets them know how important they are during said Act 1, the PC with this power won't have the opportunity to get ruining information, though they can get usefull tidbits for later. Also remember, not every...

Re: Hello from the oubliette

I haven't had a chance to play it myself, yet, though I am in negotiations with the local library for a meeting place and time. I have been in Auburn, NY, for 3 years and I have yet to find another true Gamer. Looking at the rules and comparing them to my Favorite Ever RPG, it's hard to describe. Th...

Re: Charm

2) While I think it's important to set what the GM expects to be used for each stage, I've always thought players should be able to make a creative case for using other skills to accomplish a stage... I completely agree. This is even supported tangentially in the RAW... Failing the skill test durin...

Re: Adding in skills in TorgE

Profession (Psychology) or (Psychiatry) would be used to determine a target's sanity. Scholar or Science could be used to "know" that 'x' symptom is commom in people with 'Y' condition. For game purposes, I would require the Profession for diagnosis or treatment (for some commonly known co...

Re: Question about Perks and XP - sorry if this has been covered.

The PCs gain experience as a group, but it is not devided. At the end of their first Act, each character in the group gets 5xp, regardless of the number of characters. This is also recorded as the Group xp. The "group" designation is to highlight the concurrent nature of the PC advancement...

Hello from the oubliette

I recently started posting on the TORG boards and had to look over here. I am a long time 40K fan who occasionally played WFB. I once even ran a WFRPG campaign. Now I am stuck in a town in Central New York where the nearest game store is 45 minutes away in good traffic. I am particularly looking for...

Re: Are multi-actions too cheap?

I would think that inexperienced players with inexperienced characters would have trouble making multi actions work consistently. Inexperienced players with experienced chatacters is a problem unto itself, don't blame the multi action system for this. With experienced players, multi actions should b...

Re: Nile Empire Pulp Kid Archetype

In TorgE there is no need to mathmatically alter a child character. A Storm Knight is an exceptional person by definition, and in RL I have known teens significantly more capable than adults I lnow, including combat capabilites. I would rather have my nephews with me in a fire fight than 1/3rd of th...
