Re: Living Lands Wonder

There's a few artists on DeviantArt that have some amazing fantastic scenery art that I saved in an 'Ideas' folder just for inspiration. There's a few I'm already planning on making wonders based off of, plus one that makes me think of a Pan-Pacifica/Tharkhold mixed zone. Also, one with a futuristic...

Unless you use the card that let's you act as if you're in a mixed zone for your cosm; kind of a corner case, but I like to be prepared...

Re: KS Explorer level - talk about Archetypes?

The first idea that popped into my head was actually an oTorg archtype; the edinos grease monkey who converted to CE, fell in love with technology, and never looked back. One of my players had (in my opinion) a more original one, a little similar to Zackzenobi's idea: a Relic of Wonder. This would b...

Re: KS Explorer level - talk about Archetypes?

Looking for sounding boards, or are you trawling for ideas? Either way, I wouldn't mind living that level vicariously though you... I mean, be a helpful ear... :D I have to admit, I really looked at that level, but chickened out. Figured I'd start working on ideas for one of the future books (a Cybe...

Re: Advice on solo play?

Mostly the same as the others, but less codified. Basically, be more free with the possibilities and cards, especially if they're having a rough time. The interplay between players has a tendency to generate both that (obviously) isn't there in a one person party.

Resisting Transformation

Could a Storm Knight choose to let a Transformation or a Disconnect happen, or would they automatically resist (in other words, only on a natural one)? I'm pretty sure this is in 'as the GM wishes' territory, but I figured I'd see what the community thought of this...

Re: The blandness of Aylse characters...

Of course, the 'story need' reasoning works the other way as well. I was planning to use spy satellite photos for the occasional plot hook, with the excuse of reality storms causing enough interference/coverage that they wouldn't always be useful for the Delphi Council. As a bit of a side question, ...

Re: The blandness of Aylse characters...

Take a good look at some of the oTorg supplements. Some of the biggest twists for Aysle were how the 'generic fantasy' realm interacted with the modern world/culture. Two of my favorite characters in the Character Collection were the gamer turned barbarian (who lived up to his name of Montgomery Hal...

Re: A Stormers campaign

My current campaign is set in Casablanca; various factions and refugees due to close proximity of 3 realms. The party works undercover for the Delphi Council (visible Delphi agents around as well), running a business of a Detective agency (kind of cliche, but the group made that call). That same set...

Re: Trying to get a Friend into TORG

Basically, his final level of complaint is that the setting looks at things at a Macro level. Essentially how the situation boils down to things as a whole, when he would prefer to focus on things at the micro level. Focus on how the world changes specifically from being transformed, and how being ...
