Mental powers questions

I am not completely clear about how Read mind and Mind sense work. Read mind's duration is 1 minute. So far I have assumed the power lets the psychic see 1 minute of the target's memories, however I am not sure if this minute can be split into multiple fragments, for example see 30 seconds from 10 y...

Re: Maelstrom

So far I've always resolved it in order of announcement (leaving a short pause between the player announcing damage and me announcing "the villain tries to Soak"). If they announce Malestrom before I announce Soak, the villain doesn't get to Soak. I have to disagree on the "I Win"...

Re: Space, the final frontier...

OK. I'm sure this has been asked before but... In TORG is there only every 1 planet in the entire cosm/universe where life (and possibility energy) exists? That really depends on whether the individual cosm's metaphysics support the concept of "planet". I wouldn't be surprised if Aysle wa...

Re: Background Storm Knight Activities

How might I give the players the ability to interact directly with the outcome, beyond just letting them choose which other mission will be attempted? One game I ran in the past had PCs being investigators. However at times the cases they were working on required a team of specialists to do stuff t...

Re: Background Storm Knight Activities

In my opinion, there's no need for a system if the players don't get to interact with it directly, to them it would feel no different than the GM deciding the outcome on fiat. In a past (non-Torg) game I did something similar. Situations popped up all around the world and the PCs could decide if the...

Re: Tips for Day One?

For the PP adventure I suggest you warn your players beforehand that they are all going to die (that is what the script says). Most players do not like scripted loss but are more forgiving if warned in advance.
