Re: Long term concentration?

Semantics - what you are describing would require a roll every round with a penalty for doing anything other than sipping a nice cup of tea in a comfy chair rather than only if you get a clogging.

Re: Long term concentration?

Depends on what you are concentrating on and whether it can be part of the subconscious. A kid in class can be doing his work while singing a tune. They are not aware of it and can be totally focused on their work but can still be word and note perfect. That is without training. Imagine what you cou...

Re: Ideal Player Numbers

How about player setback options (where there is a setback in the player side of the drama line): Look at the top five destiny cards - 1 can be moved to the bottom of the deck the rest are returned to the top in any order. Remove one card from the destiny deck discard pile. Shuffle the discard and m...

Re: Subplot Cards - Misreading

Heh, nobody would be rooky enough to admit getting stuff just to burn on Law of Decay but look at some of the archetypes for merely a starting point. This is the sort is not unreasonable: Rifle + 5 clips 2 handuns + 5 clips for each Katana Machete (part of the survival kit) Combat Knife (maybe 3 for...

Re: Subplot Cards - Misreading

Gives out as in freebie for good roleplaying?

Or for some or all of the following:
Discarding subplots
Using cosm cards
Inspire
Glory
etc

Players tend to get grumpy when they only get 1 poss for discarding one of the spare weapons they have brought along purely for the Law of Decay.

Re: Subplot Cards - Misreading

That has been my interpretation up to now but some of the posts on here indicate strict logic and definition (e.g. thread on mind control) which made me question the consistent difference in wording (though of course could just have been a cut and paste job when creating the cards).

Subplot Cards - Misreading

Up to now the martyr subplot card has always been discarded and the player gained a possibility. This morning however I re-read all the subplot cards and found: [Take the negative effect] and gain X possibilities. Alternatively, discard for a possibility. So what is the specific interpretation? Alte...

Re: Ideal Player Numbers

Cheers for the comments. Yeah, meant destiny deck (seem to recall the single deck from oTorg was the Drama deck so that is probably why I fail to differentiate).

Ideal Player Numbers

What do GM's consider the ideal number of players for Torg? What issues do they encounter with the mechanics at different player numbers and how do they deal with them? To kick start: The best sessions have been with three players. Pace is fluid, plenty of lime-lighting by each character and niche a...
