Subplot Cards - Misreading

Up to now the martyr subplot card has always been discarded and the player gained a possibility. This morning however I re-read all the subplot cards and found: [Take the negative effect] and gain X possibilities. Alternatively, discard for a possibility. So what is the specific interpretation? Alte...

Re: Ideal Player Numbers

Cheers for the comments. Yeah, meant destiny deck (seem to recall the single deck from oTorg was the Drama deck so that is probably why I fail to differentiate).

Ideal Player Numbers

What do GM's consider the ideal number of players for Torg? What issues do they encounter with the mechanics at different player numbers and how do they deal with them? To kick start: The best sessions have been with three players. Pace is fluid, plenty of lime-lighting by each character and niche a...

Re: Called Shots

I would argue that just because you hit the eye slit of a suit of armour it does not follow that it is a perfect hit, strikes the eye directly and enters the brain thereby being a vital shot. Law of Underdog and Surprise

It states in the Core rules that Law of Underdog stacks with surprise. That seems fine for when the characters are surprising the villains, less clear for villains surprising characters. Example: Drama deck: H: V: Villains surprise; character uses law of underdog to place flurry into his pool and ac...

Re: Rules rationale behind cost of Super Attributes/Skills

It should be an absolute rule that a dead dude is buried with all his belongings - all those wondrous artefacts, those pilfered grimoires, the sparkly magic armour and that kanawan auto adrenalin injector etc. A bit of respect for the dead rather than looting the poor fecker before the martyr card h...

Re: KO & Shock

Mobs, yes, I can see that. I do like the convenience of mobs. Just not a fan of rolling lots of dice especially with 5 players.

KO & Shock

How often do your player characters get knocked out? We have been playing about 15 sessions now and we had our first KO. It was not even through shock, just massive damage followed by a test for defeat. In fact most combats last fewer than 8 rounds. As anything that does more than a wound is soaked ...

Re: Villain LL Possibilities

Any chance of some insight on this from the design team? Did they envision villains using possibilities in the same manner as PC's?
