Re: Villain LL Possibilities

Any chance of some insight on this from the design team? Did they envision villains using possibilities in the same manner as PC's?

Lost Treasure

Items that are acquired through the use of cards (or other means for that matter) - are these meant to be a one act/scenario feature? It just seems that anything that is pretty useful will never willingly be lost and over time characters will start to accumulate all manner of boons some of which are...

Re: Mind Control (Both Kinds)

Well, I played it totally wrong. I thought it was a powerful suggestion, tricking the mind into doing something that they then thought they wanted to do, e.g. 'go get me some apples,' and the victim would go bounding off looking for apples to bring back. I didn't think it was, 'first walk down this ...

Villain LL Possibilities

LL possibilities have the nice extra ability that they can be used to give an enemy a jolly good kicking when attack is the action. So, what about possibilities for native villains; are these counted as LL poss? Further, at beta level, the GM has a stack of possibilities. Are these also classed as L...

Fear

A failed fear test results in stymied/v. stymied. How long does this last? A single round being removed after the character acts (boo - character is startled - all in all pretty lame). As per disconnection - until the character successfully makes a fear check. Until the end of the scene (zoiks, run ...

Re: Negation and Opponent Fails Timing

Cool - that was my thought but with a bunch of rule lawyering gold brickers that will over analyse the exact wording, I tend to go with 'sod it, sure this time and I will get an official ruling'

Negation and Opponent Fails Timing

Negation - can this be played after the dice roll following the use of the possibility and if so, how much after? e.g. Villain attacks, get a total 16 - but with penalties means he misses by 4. The GM uses a possibility. GM rolls a 10, then another 10 then a 15. Player then announces he wants to use...

Unwanted Contradictions

In a dominant LL zone a bunch of kanawa security rig up various entrances to their hold with claymores. The question is, should these detonate when a dozy stormknight blunders through? They are in contact with the claymore so in theory it should just as touching a battery powered clock will make it ...

When I read about Possibility Rip in the context of weird science I immediately thought of the soul sucking device from Princess Bride

Hardpoints - rulebook conflicting statements

I presume the latter is correct (ignoring the spelling of artefacts)? And by axioms I presume it means world laws. pg 15 Some artifacts called hardpoints can impose their reality over a localized area, consisting of a Pure inner core, and a Dominant outer ring. pg 223 The area closest to the hardpoi...
