Re: Multi-target a Mob

We played through the Battle of Philadelphia last night - 2 storm knights on the Franklin Bridge right in the thick of it dropping 10 gospog each per round in melee combat at the height of the battle. We had Wade from Day One LL now sporting a T-rex claw strapped to his arm Evil Dead's Ash style and...

Re: Darkness Device created Hardpoints

Does raise the question of two hardpoints next to each other while in a cosm of one of the hardpoints, e.g. what happens if a DD creates a LL hardpoint in Philadelphia? Would this remain mixed or is it a case that LL HP + LL Pure > CE HP resulting in LL Dominant for example. Personally I would say t...

Re: Clarification on Surge?

First paragraph indicates that not everyone has to make a check. As such the second paragraph is only applicable in the case where a check is being made. So, no contradiction, no roll.

Re: Multi-target a Mob

A T-rex needs 5 wounds to drop it. So if you encounter 5 of them at once, go for the mob, target all 5 and you are more likely to do 1 wound (25 damage) to each but applied to 1, dropping it, than if you target just 1 and attempt to do 5 wounds (45 damage)...

Gospog Control

The rules appear to be somewhat vague on how gospog are controlled and directed. Instances simply refer to the High Lord using them for various means but do not explain how this occurs. They are mindless so simply telling them to attack a bridge or storm a gate presumably won't work. Further, often ...

Split Group Encounters

Occasionally (ok, almost always), Shaggy and Scooby get separated from the rest of the gang. Then something happens to the two groups resulting in conflict for one or possibly both simultaneously. Where there is one conflict - how do GM's deal with one or more characters being in a separate location...

Re: Ramming! (another "car-crash" of a vehicles thread?)

You can always treat a vehicle as cover (car door +4 armour).

Re: Ramming! (another "car-crash" of a vehicles thread?)

It also appears to be a case that if you are about to collide, you state that you are ramming instead - that way you have a much greater chance of avoiding damage altogether by actually failing the roll... Oops, I missed the mountain. ;)

Re: Maneuver (interaction skills)

I noticed that too. I suspect it is either an oversight due to the writers being guest writers and uncertain as to all principles or that it is part of DSR and therefore an exception.

Re: Maneuver (interaction skills)

I’ve been thinking about the rationale behind this break from many other game systems. The premise appears that athletics etc are physical applications rather than actual skills. While it could be argued by professional athletes, footballers, free-climbers and parkour enthusiasts that there is skill...
