Re: XCOM - Torg

The reason I ask is that I am guessing it might be a challenge to prep for a session if you (A) don’t know ahead of time which players/PCs are going to be involved, and (B) which mission they are going to choose. I expect that you’ll need to get that info before planning, and that will take a littl...

Ideal world? once a week.

Far more likely - 2ish every 4 weeks.

What should be easily maintainable - 3-4 every two months.

XCOM - Torg

I had a thought (as I am getting closer to having my players mostly spun up the rules, the setting, the cosms, the tone and playing through the Day 1s) adding a strategic layer to the campaign. First a clarification - I am running a roster game so 2-4 times the number of players in the campaign than...

Re: Cyberpapacy Preview #2 - Cyberware

(Knowing that things are obviously still being written adjusted and so forth, so the text is not intended to be final) In the Cyborg package: for the last bullet point that talks about randomly disabling an install - if the only cyberware the character has are the pieces of that package, is each ben...

Orrorsh Day 1 short cuts

So, you know how the Back up Stella is Bad News and the PCs are advised to stay away from it? Well it turns out if one of them plays the cosm card to make reality tests favored that becomes less of a problem.... Plus the miracle workers dice were on fire so they group was enjoying +2 spirit for a mi...

Re: Resting in Torg

I probably shouldn't have been so glib in my use of the descriptor 'environmental' - essentially what I was talking about was any shock that occurs outside of combat/dsr resolution. A very loose interpretation of 'rest' would mean that such shock will rarely affect things, i.e. just needing 5 minut...

Resting in Torg

As per the FAQ Page 135. Some environmental effects can cause Fatigue (see page 112). Shock caused by this does not recover until the hero can rest." Is there a guideline for what constitutes an opportunity to rest? Based on WCC I am kinda leaning towards a general approach that if the PCs can ...
