Re: Reliquaries

I'll be honest, I'm not sure how any of this comes across this way. I mean, if that's your opinion that's fine...but the villains are not nameless and interchangeable. Maybe in Secrets of the Cyberpapacy ? For the moment, in the Sourcebook, I believe that only two villains are named (Malraux and Ca...

Re: Reliquaries

IMO, the one way that the Cyberpapacy is the "most evil" cosm is in how it's the most believable one, the one closest to the kind of evil we already have way too much of in our world. Maybe that's what's tripping your sensors. That is very probably a factor. But what I feel is that the Cy...

Re: Reliquaries

First, to clarify: I'm not criticizing the work on the Cyberpapacy. The sourcebook is full of great ideas and I have objection to nothing written in it (well, besides stuff that I have posted through the feedback form :) ). If anything, I really want to read more of it! For context, the Cyberpapacy ...

Re: Reliquaries

Note My real problem may simply be that I had envisioned the Cyberpapacy very differently. I'll come to terms with this Cyberpapacy, eventually :)

Re: Reliquaries

Frankly, I don't know what I want. I just have the feeling that, at least for me, the Cyberpapacy is growing into a depressing villain rather than one I want to GM :) That is, the Living Land, the Nile Empire and Aysle all have a sense of wonder built into the setting: the Living Land has the Wonder...

Re: Reliquaries

Ok, so right now, I have a problem.

I don't enjoy GM-ing worlds/enemies that have been designed only to be cleansed by fire. For the moment, I don't find any redeeming quality to the Cyberpapacy, which makes my job a little bit complicated :)

Re: Reliquaries

This wasn't what first makes me love the Cyberpapacy, but it did cement that love forever. I assume you're talking of Deliver us from Evil ? I find that the general idea is good but I also find it sad to have a Deus Ex Machina not only end the story but also rob a BBEG of their dignity. YMMV :)

It definitely looks good. Have you tested it?

...except, word of Deanna-God is that I had misunderstood revelations (see the thread on Reliquaries).

They don't work like that (and quite possibly never did) :(
