Re: Iron Ban and Witches

That's just one opinion. Anyway, witches aren't confined to just the 7 most common familiars. Dogs, ferrets, seagulls, foxes etc. etc. are all possible as well, if they fit to the personality of the witch. Edit: Apparently it's really not a thing anymore, but you can spend a bunch of AP to have a &...

Re: Writing for the Scriptorium in the face of years of “canon”

We'd be happy to help out. But at the end a simple disclaimer for new GMs would be enough to prepare them that they will have to check if their official material will need adaptation to make it work. "With that in mind though, has most of this content only been released in German or is there a ...

Re: Writing for the Scriptorium in the face of years of “canon”

People are kinda ...defensive? when it comes to Aventuria, especially since so much has already been written and played and influenced and changed over the years. It all grew quite naturally. The regional supplements go in quite detail, and some regions now got their fourth supplement over the years...

Re: Are all priests Blessed Ones and vice versa?

They got limited powers that are either Visions or Sermons, Visionaries can get godly help for themselves, Preachers can apply their gods influence on others. Blessed ones can learn both kinds in addition...

Re: Looking for Input - Noble Campaign

Thank you for the replies guys! I really appreciate it! How about she being a mage is a secret? I love the intrigue and the part that she needs to suffocate her magical abilities to instead act as the baroness she "needs" to be. Also, is there a difference between a Guild-mage or a guildl...

Re: Looking for Input - Noble Campaign

Its always possible if you appoint a steward to handle the actual administrative tasks to be a mage and a baron or lower. as i just edited. That "steward" is basically a full fledged baron for one generation. The mage has no influence on his reign over the barony whatsoever. His children ...

Re: Looking for Input - Noble Campaign

She just would have to apoint a Stewart, but yes, her status as magician could be an argument of her enemies. Actually at that level of nobility there are canon examples of magic users being a barons and even counts in the Middenrealm. Only elves afaik. Not mages. Elfs follow a different set of law...

Re: Looking for Input - Noble Campaign

But mages in general arent allowed to be acting ruler, be it count, baron, king or anything else, in middenrealm or arania. You would have to use another part of the world to make it fit with the canon. Some other tulamidian part or the deep south maybe
