Reading the Character Sheet

Postby videopete » Wed Aug 23, 2017 5:33 am

So my players are making characters, amd they have a question on what certain things mean. So on the 6 page sheet under skills
It reads
Skills Check Enc IC SR R.
The question so far is what does R stand for.

Skill Check is, well, the skill check. The attributes assigned to the skill.

Enc: Short for encumbrance, so it tells you wether or not a skill check gets a penalty if the hero has levels of encumbrance.

IC: I'm not sure what exact name for that is in english, but it tells you which category you consult to increase the skill.

SR: Skill Rating, the points you use to even out rolls over the attribute.

R: Stands for routine, you can note here up to which difficulty modifier you can still declare the check a routine check, so if I had a skill rating of 9, I could routine-pass checks with a modifier of no less than +1, as long as all relevant attributes are 13 or more. So I'd write "+1" under R.
