Is Bornland Temperate or Subartic? I was going with the latter but was interested in how others see it.
Thanks

Not subarctic. That would be the region of Paavi (ignoring Gloranas influences to make it arctic)

I think the scientific term (depending on which system you use) would be "temperate broadleaf forest" with the northern parts being "taiga".
Another classification is "Humid continental climate" for lower parts and the northern being "subarctic climate" or "boreal climate" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Köppen_cl ... sification).

Actually Taiga would be north of the Bornland, not really Bornland itself. But as Aventuria is currently in a form of ice age modern climate models are not always fitting. The winters tend to be colder up north and the summers rather
Normal and all climate zones are closer together than on earth.

a) This is a scientific classification of the landscapes that are to a large part the real life model of the Bornland. Depending on what classification you choose, the name is different.

b) The Nornja is basically the Taiga (boreal forest) and more or less the northern border of the Bornland. If you think Tundra, yes, that's the lands of the Nivesen north of it.

A) those are mainly Dfb to that classification so not subarctic
B) no i was thinking of Taiga, but it being only the borderlands, it would still make the bulk of the bornland not subarctic, but you are correct, there is a littlebit in the north and potentially in the east, though that is more mountainous.

Well, I don't know what else to say except that I noted that it's the northern parts and that Sewerien (Seweria?,) the northern regions of the Bornland is commonly thought to be a representation of Sibiria.

Maybe it just never came across to me that Siberian, more Eastern European. With harsh winters but mild summers. It just happenes to have most adventures taking place in winter.
