Ok thanks, that's helpful. What would the english translation of these Grenzreiter be? Also, does every nation have them?

Does any German 5e book (like Compendium II) have these as an archtype or profession, so we can see an example of a 'typical' ranger type character?

Aside from the ones employed by provinces or rulers are there any independent ranger types out and about in the wilds?

Everyone graduating the Warrior academy in Neersand has to join the order, so they should make up the majority
