I'm happy to see this. Perks were the main thing I always wanted in the original system.

Perks are going to make it a LOT easier to make characters. Having all those crazy subrules centralized in one place and under one purchasing mechanic will make it easier to add them to characters and make sure everything's balanced.

In a slight way, I'm surprised there wasn't a way to improve the DEX limit of the samurai armor, but I totally understand if it's a balance issue.

Yeah, the general philosophy is things are either:

easy to hit, hard to hurt

or

hard to hit, easy to hurt

but not both.

Based on playtesting +4 is looking like it'll be the limit for personal armor, so if you had that _and_ high Dex it would be very tough to do Wounds to that character.

That said, Dex 10 is still very good.

That's a tower in the Living Land associated with the Law of Wonders (it'll be the art on one of the Cosm cards).

Hey dean, is there a deflect perk (similar to d&d's monk deflect missiles)?

Edit: or return to sender perk (for an attack)?

Not at the moment, though that could be a trapping of one of them (and more specifically an Active Defense).

I just saw Tharkold doesn't have Cyberware? That's a pretty big change. What's the reason for that?
