Huh. Interesting! Wonder what's there in real life? Not an area that I recognize.

Sorry everyone, a little too cryptic :(

If you take a close look at the map, you'll see a plucky little village holding out against the latest emanation of the Roman Empire. Rumours tell that the only thing the locals are afraid of is the sky falling on their heads ... though I imagine the Tharkoldu infesting the channel might have something to say about that.

Thanks :-)

The bit of Brittany just beyond the Cyberpapacy boundary is the traditional location of the legendary lost city of Ys: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ys.

Poul Anderson wrote a four book series set in and around the city years ago which was pretty good. I think the nature of the legend almost screams out for revival if a particularly vicious reality storm has the CP axioms wash over it.

Huh.

Never heard of that one before. The little cartoon pic had me thinking it was Cuphead!

D'oh.

The main setting for the series is an unnamed coastal village (rumoured to be inspired by Erquy) in Armorica (present-day Brittany), a province of Gaul (modern France), in the year 50 BC. Julius Caesar has conquered nearly all of Gaul for the Roman Empire. The little Armorican village, however, has held out because the villagers can gain temporary superhuman strength by drinking a magic potion brewed by the local village druid, Getafix. His chief is Vitalstatistix.

I think we're gonna need an errata and errors thread, since I'm already hitting some issues. The first paragraph on page 14 just stops mid-sentence.

Beyond the nitpicks, loving what I'm seeing so far. I'm especially amused by the fact that TYPING IN CAPSLOCK is literally heresy. XD
