Custom Stelae maps?

Postby Planetchris » Wed Jan 01, 2020 12:42 pm

Hi! I'm trying to think of a way to keep track of stelae zones in our campaign. The 90 day Google map of the invasion on the website is super awesome but already outdated by the events in the sourcebooks and my players' actions.

How are you keeping track of what your campaign stelae maps look like? Is it possible to get the 90 day map data and update it on one's own?

Ideas welcome!

You can make a copy of the Day 90 Google map and modify it. However it has one very annoying bug: if you try to add additional zones it messes up the colors in existing ones.

I ended up making an export of that and importing it into umap for my campaign: ... /31.2/66.4 (roughly day 40-ish). It also has annoying bugs (such as zones vanishing on certain zoom levels) but at the moment I don't have anything better.

I have a different "cosmverse" so just started it on Goggle Maps from scratch. It really isn't too difficult. The ruler tool to get things within 500km is very helpful.

I just grabbed the 90 day one, made a copy and adjust as we go. It works well. I haven't had any issues with the colors but I did need to start another layer because at a certain point it made all my new zones on an existing layer the same.

Yeah, I did the same... copied day 90 coordinates and imported into both Google Maps and Mapbox. I would love to solely use Mapbox, but with everything I want to do with it, it is a mess at this stage. So I share the Google Maps one with my players.

I'd share with all of you but it has some spoilers in it for people in my PBP.
