Aysle for Torg Eternity

Postby Zackzenobi » Thu Feb 23, 2017 12:17 am

I was just curious if you could give us any hints as to what you had planned for making Aysle less Plain Vanilla Fantasy?

The Honor/Corruption was the most interesting part but very under utilized. Although the were some interesting creatures who used these laws. Like the Black/White Unicorns and the Tainted Ones. The Dragons being tied to the elements was always really interesting, I had never seen that before. I also really loved what they did with the Fairies and Fey, how one was from Earth and one was from Aysle. There is a lot of potential for adventure there.

And yes I loved the Doughnut/Torus world but most adventures happen on earth.

I mean it is understandable why it is so plain. The SB was around 128 pages. There was a large section on Spell creation, then Spells, Dieties, Miracles, Creatures, and lastly equipment. That really did not leave mush room to flesh out the Realm of Aysle and make it feel like it was a distinct Fantasy setting.

I'm hoping that you guys have some interesting unique ideas to really spice it up. Care to share any?

There are some interesting ideas (in my opinion), but you'll have to wait for the Aysle sourcebook. The core book is by necessity going to be wide in scope but shallow in detail given that we have to do all the rules, equipment, reality, etc... plus cover 8 cosms.

Can you give us a schedule on when Source books will be released? Or at least an order? Or at least if they will be monthly?

Nope. Can't say anything about them right now.

Except they definitely won't be monthly. :-)

How many pages is the rulebook going to have?

How many pages for the Sourcebooks?

Can't say yet, largely because it's not necessarily locked in for either.
