Dice rolling app

Postby winterbeard » Fri Jun 30, 2017 5:22 pm

Does anyone have a favourite dice rolling app that works well with Torg? From what I've read Dicenomicon might have what it takes but the reviews imply that it is not actively being developed and therefore not very well supported. I'm not sure it's worth $4.99 to test it out given the lack of support. I'd love to have a quick tool to be able generate torn totals. I know I can just roll dice, but I thought it might be fun to have something like this.

I wrote a dice calculator for android a few years ago that handled arbitrary dice expressions, but I didn't maintain it.

Id miss physically rolling dice in TORG.

I did create an iOS app that would roll for the Original Torg. I might need some help sharing it without having to go to the Apple Store.

I used to use Dicenomicon, it's pretty flexible.

But recently, I've been using the rolz.org website. You can do a lot of interesting things with it... here's the basic Torg dice roll:
#explode=10,20 1d20

You would need skilled explode and unskilled explode

i dont like using Dice Rolling apps, computers by design are incapable of true randomization.

Ok... skilled is above, unskilled is:
#explode=10 1d20[/quote]

The point about computers not being truly random is a good one however...

Yeah, but neither is physics. Both are well beyond my ability to predict on the fly, and that's good enough for me.
