Any suggestions for cutting one act from the LL day one?

You may have gone a bit overboard. I wonder if 1 act scenarios might have been better...

I don't understand the distinction - what makes a Day One scenario any less entertaining than a Day 90 adventure?

The Day 1 scenarios are meant to be run with premade characters who haven't had a Moment of Crisis yet, and are often civilians in the thick of it. Moreover, you swap characters every cosm. While that can be fun for a while, switching 7 times over 10 sessions with no continuity is liable to get a little wearing, never mind switching 7 times over 21 sessions.

The Day 1 scenarios are meant to be introductions. Most of a year of gaming (the original assumption) is a lot of introduction.

I can't imagine playing more than 2 Day ones. Most people would want to create their own character after that.

The way I see the Day 1 adventures is this:

► Show Spoiler

So give them what they need as introduction and let them find out the rest through other means.

For me the Day ones serve an important function in itroducing the scope of the problem. Im less worried if most of them are 1 act.

but I have seen other versions.

I picked up some colored little plastic chips. They worked really well last night. Dfintiely help s keep things moving.

All I've run so far is the Day One adventures, and it varied. For LL, we went through and act and a half in a 4 1/2 hour session, with a second session to finish the rest. Aysle took a single session, and the rest we took two per session (except Nile, where it took the entire session, for some reason...). Of course, once I start coming up with my own, it'll probably be all over the place...

EDIT: I like the colored chip idea, might give it a shot. I'm still using the generic poker chips I picked up when we tried Deadlands Reloaded...
