Looking at the Origins event grid, I only see two Dark Eye events (2-hour Siege in Kosh Valley and 4-hour Warring Kingdoms). Are there more events not yet on the grid? I also see The Reach on Saturday listed as Dark Eye but, based on the description, it's clearly not Dark Eye.

Clearly Origins is not going to be ready for pre-reg to open Wednesday (no updates to event grid even though it has obvious errors and, per others, is incomplete) - hopefully they actually delay it.

I am very disappointed. I was hoping to get to try out Dark Eye at Origins, but searching under both Dark Eye and Aventuria I only found one event: Warring Kingdoms. Unfortunately, the time slots are so badly scheduled that they clash with every other RPG. 3 pm to 8 pm five hour slot means that it will overlap both afternoon and evening slot for the day. No way am I giving up two games for one.

You missed a few. Here is a complete list of Dark Eye events at Origins:
    Warring Kingdoms:
    • 5173 Thursday 9-14
    • 5181 Thursday 15-20
    • 5187 Friday 9-14
    • 5198 Friday 15-20
    • 5204 Saturday 9-14
    • 5211 Saturday 15-20
Siege in Kosh Valley (assuming this is an intro since it is 2 hours):
    • 5178 Thursday 14-16
    • 5180 Thursday 16-18
    • 5194 Friday 14-16
    • 5196 Friday 16-18
    • 5206 Saturday 11-13
    • 5209 Saturday 14-16
    • 5212 Saturday 16-18
    • 5217 Sunday 10-13 (not sure why 3 hours)
Aventuria Adventure Card Game (not quite Dark Eye but related):
    • 5174 Thursday 10-13
    • 5177 Thursday 13-16
    • 5179 Thursday 14-16 (not sure why only 2 hours but it was the only one that fit my schedule so I signed up)
    • 5191 Friday 10-13
    • 5193 Friday 13-16
    • 5197 Friday 14-17
    • 5205 Saturday 10-13 (scenario)
    • 5208 Saturday 14-18 (tournament)

There is also a listing for 5213 The Reach on Saturday but that's actually Warhammer: 40k RPG.

That said, I am very disappointed that there aren't more "real" games (than just Warring Kingdoms) of Dark Eye. There are at least three "real" games of Torg Eternity (and four more scenarios that I think are just being run by a solo GM).

My point on Warring Kingdoms being run in weird time slots that clash with other RPG's still stands. It might be convenient for the Demo team, but no thanks.

As for Torg Eternity. There are 4 events from published books. I guess they are OK for those who did not support the Kickstarter so don't have access to those books, but I was hoping for at least one original event. Or even the one that was run at Gencon last year. Finding one offs by individual GM's is near impossible since they are not tagged as Torg Eternity.

It's not that odd. I'm pretty sure Pathfinder Society games are always 5 hours. I think some Arcanis games are 5 hours. Even with the 5 hour slots, my schedule is probably over-full (almost all RPGs (3 board games - 2 on Sunday because I didn't like the RPGs in the afternoon) and only 1 hour between start and finish I'm not gaming most days). I guess it all comes down to what you prioritize. I made sure to get into a slot of both Dark Eye games (I just wish there were more).

The possibly one-off games of Torg are labeled as Torg Eternity (they are all Day 1 adventures) - it may be official games but they aren't listed as being run by the same group as all other Dark Eye and Torg games.

It's not the 5 hr slots. It's the start and end times. they start in the middle of a slot and end in the middle of the next slot. All Arcanis events are 4 hours, except for Battle interactive which is 8 hrs and takes up 2 slots.

I guess it all depends on how you look at it...

To me at least, the 9-14 games are effectively the same as a 10-14 game (which is a common slot). The 15-20 games do knock out the 14-16 half-slot (or 12-16 slot) but end at 20 and a lot of games are 20-24 (though a better 5-hour slot might have been 18-23).

I guess I misremembered on Arcanis games (it's been a few years) - I know they at least talked about making them 5 hour slots (because most of the modules are tough to fit into 4 hours). I know PFS mostly uses 5-hour slots (but I don't play PFS so it doesn't matter at all to me).
