Wrath & Glory Campaign Cards

The Pre-Order is almost over, and we have been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready to go! We had mentioned the various card packs in a previous post, and in that post we had previewed one of the Campaign Cards. We are happy to announce that all of those are now finished, including the 10 promo cards!

That means that we should be able to send them out to pre-order customers along with the Core Rules in the week after Gen Con!

In the meantime, we wanted to show you a few of those cards to give you a better sense of this deck.

The Campaign Card Deck is a player-facing deck. Players draw the cards at the beginning of the session and decide when they want to play them. Some of them are completely positive:

And some of them match positive effects with complications:

As you can see there are a lot of different mechanical and narrative effects in this deck. Campaign Cards give players a great deal of control over the types of stories they want to tell.

There are 55 cards in the main Campaign Card Deck, and the nice thing about that is that it is very easy to expand or adjust your deck to suit the feel of your game. One of the ways we can help with that is through additional cards, such as the 10 promo cards that pre-order customers will get for free! Here is a taste of those cards:

We’re very excited to hear about how you use these at your table! And we’ll see many of you at Gen Con!

Is there also a mechanic to gain new campaign cards?
Or is it just one per session?

    1. Eric Simon says:

It’s normally one per session, but if you have a small group or longer sessions you might want to provide more than that. But as you can see, they’re fairly dramatic effects, so with a group of 5-6 players you probably want to have one per session.

        Yea, makes sense.

I chuckled a bit at the Romance Card referencing that old Dawn of War Fanfic.

Well, these updates have gotten my friends and I excited. They have a couple questions they wanted me to pass along regarding possible future content.

Are there any plans to add more playable xenos races in the future, such as Tau or Necrons?
    and
Any plans for an expansion that will allow you to play as Chaos forces?

    1. Eric Simon says:

Chaos is playable right from the Core Rules, but there will likely be more in the future. For other plans, keep an eye on news about our Gen Con seminar this Saturday!

I’ll be looking forward to it. Thanks for the reply.
